Gospel magic is very simple - it is the use of magic tricks and illusions to explore the Gospel (or ‘Good News’) of Jesus Christ, specifically the themes, parables and stories from His life, as told in the four New Testament Gospels, as well as through the lives and stories of others, for example the Old Testament stories that point to Jesus’s birth, death and resurrection.
Below you will find some examples of the sort of Gospel magic tricks that I have performed previously, which should hopefully give you a good flavour of the style of magic presentation I offer. Don’t worry if you can’t find your specific story in the list though - I am always coming up with new routines and I have often design acts around requested themes and stories.

A multi-phase card trick, dramatically telling the story of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, with a strong focus on why He had to die and what it means for us today!
A miraculous coin trick, exploring the themes of value/worth, loss and celebration when something precious is found once again, all based on one of Jesus’ most famous parables.

Exploring the nature of the Kingdom of Heaven and our experiences of it through a selection of tricks based on some more of Jesus’ parables.
A fun and colourful routine for all ages, exploring the variety of God given gifts that we can receive when we accept the Holy Spirit into our hearts, and the difference between ‘healthy’ and ‘unhealthy’ attitudes (using fruit…)

A dramatic routine focused on identifying and resisting the lies that we believe about ourselves, which is only possible when we trust and place our identity in Jesus.
Demonstrating how the incredible power of Gods Grace and forgiveness, through the sacrifice of Jesus, can give us a fresh start and set us back on a journey walking in the light.
